Phuentsholing - Paradise on the Bhutan India Border

There is great difference between the cultures of both the towns. A fence built in the Tibetan style, divides both India and Bhutan. The locals as well as Indian pass port holders are allowed to enter Bhutan without the need of any visa. The people of both the towns depend on each other for the regular exports and imports. Jaigaon, the Indian market on the opposite side of the Phuentsholing is much bigger in structure than its counter part commercial market lying in Bhutan. Jaigaon market is dotted with the small buildings and its ambiance matches to all the commercial centers nestled in West Bengal. The commercial market of Bhutan is inundated by the high edifices standing in a row. But still inspite of well constructed market the major part of trade is carried in Jaigaon itself.
