 Partnering MTDC

In a yet another initiative to expand the travel network and connect with more travelers, IHR has entered into an alliance with MTDC (Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation). With this IHR becomes authorized online agent for MTDC to sell its vast range of accommodation including resorts, guesthouses, hotels and tours across Maharashtra. Let’s put into perspective some of the mechanics of what this difficult deal entail for us.

A) Adding on the Strength: IHR wants to capitalize on its already strong showing in the Maharashtra region. Leading the list of bestsellers is Shirdi and egged on by the likes of Tuljapur, Pandharpur and Mumbai weekends. We cover around 100 odd places in Maharashtra and the tie-up with MTDC we plan to add on to the numbers.

B) Providing the Best Accommodation: MTDC because of its clout or whatever has this knack of having accommodation at the most vantage points of a particular place. So be it the resort at picturesque Malshej Ghat, at the pristine Beach of Harihareshwar or at the historic Raigad they are located at the most sought after locations. Coupled with this is the fact that in some places it is the MTDC properties that only exists.  So in our promise to deliver to the customer accommodation right on the beach or opposite a fort MTDC is a welcome addition.

C) Representation of the Entire State: MTDC has properties strewn across the entire state from the Konkan Coastline, cozy hill stations perched on the Western Ghats, sacred pilgrimages to those on the wildlife parks. This will give us a leverage to have a solid presence in the Western India.

D) Cashing on the Net Savvy People: Around 40 to 50 % of our traffic comes from the Mumbai region.  Not only they are net savvy but also have a strong penchant for traveling within state. On the weekends the likes of Lonavala, Khandala, Matheran sees huge number of hits.
